Trash Cans PDF Print E-mail
Recently the City of Frederick delivered new trash containers to the single family homes of Willow Brook and several other communities in the area to kick off a pilot trash program. This pilot includes a newly purchased trash truck costing Frederick City $270,000. This pilot will demonstrate the efficiency of a single manned trash vehicle that does not require the driver to leave the vehicle to pick up trash cans. The new 95 gallon trash cans were selected by the city based on maximum allowable trash capacity per pick-up (Frederick City has a 90 gallon trash limit, per pick-up) and the compatibility with the new trash vehicle.

ImagePlease note... It is each homeowners responsibility to store this can out of site as our Willow Brook covenants state. Home owners leaving cans outside, in view, will be warned and possibly fined. This includes backyards and sides. The city does have a smaller 65 gallon version of this can. But there is only a limited supply.

Quoted from the Willow Brook Homeowners Association Declaration of Covenants. Article VIII - Architectural Control, Section 8, paragraph E
(page 26):
...trash and garbage containers shall not be permitted to remain in public view, except on days of trash collection. No incinerator shall be kept or maintained upon any lot. Garbage, trash and other refuse shall be placed in tightly covered containers.
